Make a joyful noise unto the Lord! Music at First United Methodist Church is a vital part of our Worship service and many other events in the life of the church. If you love to sing or play an instrument click on the links for more detail information about each of our musical groups and how you can join us in singing or playing a joyful noise. There are also several opportunities for soloists and small ensembles during the year. For further information call the church 616-897-5936 Chancel Choir Our Chancel Choir provides special music for two Sundays a month from September through early June. Rehearsals are Wednesday Evening 7:00 p.m. Trinity Band This instumental group meets from September through May. They provide music periodically for Sunday services. Praise Team This small group of singers and instrumentalists help to lead worship in singing praise style music once a month. Ringspiration The Ringspiration Bell Choir was established in 1989 and is a group of 11 people playing a three octave set of Malmark handbells and handchimes. Ringspiration provides a wonderful enhancement to the worship experience, as well as musical entertainment at various social functions. The director is a member of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR) and has been directing bell choirs for 24 years. The choir rehearses on Monday evenings at 7:00pm and always welcomes new members who can read music and want to have a fun time. |
