Kid's Club |
Kids' Club is a free, Christian-based, after-school program for children grades K-6. We meet on Wednesdays until 5:30 pm . The program follows the school calendar for vacation and snow days. Transportation from school to the church is providedby caring, loving, responsible adults. Our curriculum is designed to re-enforce the Sunday School message but has many special projects and fun activities mixed in. The children are served a yummy snack, then enjoy games, arts & crafts, music, Bible story skits, and much more. Kids' Club is also involved in community projects such as scarecrow building for Main Street and the "Christmas Through Lowell" craft show. In addition, we offer special prejects and activities for our sixth grade members including instrument tutoring for band students and Community Service opportunities at Flat River Outreach ministry. Kids' Club offers many volunteer opportunities for adults and teens, as well. Adults are needed as Circle Leaders for the small-group activities and for supervision of the children during their music practice. We are also in need of responsible adults with good driving records and a chauffeur's license to transport children from Bushnell & Murray Lake Elementary and Lowell Middle Schools using the church's bus. Teens can be a great help to the adults during activity times by offering "an extra pair of hands" and the kids really enjoy "big kids" spending time with them. If you can help in any of these areas please take a moment to fill out a Volunteer Registration form indicating which area or areas interest you. An informal meeting will be held prior to the beginning of Kids' Club to let volunteers know about our program and in what ways they may be most helpful. Registration forms for children and adults/teens are located at the Kids' Club display in the Fellowship Hall. You may also follow the "registration" link on the left of this page. If you have any questions please contact the church office.616-897-5936 |
